I don't think this actually exists anymore because of all of the crapthey put in there like encryptions yada yada yadaĪnyway, it isn't as useful as it used to be because you can turn much better now than in CBT, so everyone is dodging shells left and right. how many might be employing a aim assist mod, yada yada yada. So, I am just trying to get a grasp on this. I'm also aware through some of the vids there are some users, even beta testers, who feel strongly they should be allowed, since the torp assist basically does the same thing for torps. Also, I ask because there have been a few battles where I got the distinct feeling I got mugged by someone using one. Can anyone tell me the latest truth about aim assist mods? Are people using them, and is there any way to know how much? I ask because I have never used one, and when I first became aware that mods were out there, my first thought was "that's a cheat". Just play the game and enjoy.OK, I've only been at this for a few weeks and absolutely love WoW. People who have to cheat good or bad makes me pity them for they really must not have a life to impress others in a game. Win rate is nothing but a number in a video game. I play online games for more than 20 years now and never cheated, if I can play without cheating so can everyone else. The mod would not have been able to predict the enemy players evasive moves. I hadn't played WoWs in about 3 years because the playing field was inherently unbalanced with the tier spread, module spread and premium consumables topped off by what was then rampant use of aim assist, aimbot, type mods or cheats. Players should not feel obligated to install third party software to keep up to others. The aim assist mod when it was around only predicted the path of the target - it was up to the user of that mod to fire at the predicted spot. Suggestion: crack down on the aim assist mods or make them 'legal' to level the playing field. I really think that WG should work on detecting anyone using cheats, warn then with a suspension of 2 weeks on the first offense and ban them completely on repeated offense.Īnd I consider a mod that tells you if a ship goes forward or backward a cheat too actually, gee why do we have to learn to determine that by a miss or by observing smoke stacks? It is an advantage already to all those that use it.Īnd if you say that "it is there use it" then WG should incorporate it in the game to make it available to all. Actually all of the scandals on youtube having been caught cheating were from Influencers and "Good" players in game communities. The facts do not corroborate the idea that "bad" players only use cheats. Some of them are still so bad that those things still can't make them good, they just make them very annoying to have to deal with.Īnd what happens when experienced players use it? They get an additional advantage that they hide behind their "skill". Their positioning and overall play is terrible, but fine mechanical things like aiming and dodging shots that've been locked onto them is far better. When a bad player uses one, it's pretty easy to tell.
